ReplayTake gives a music teacher a page with a price and a turnaround. A student sends a recording and four short questions; the teacher reviews it in a study player, marking the exact bars with timestamped notes, drawings and practice loops; the student gets “your review is ready” and loops each passage at home. Card payment goes through ReplayTake for a 5–15% fee with processing included, or the teacher keeps collecting the way they do today and pays no fee. Students join free.
In practice: A 40-minute cello lesson is uploaded. The teacher presses n at 4:12 and writes “Bow change before the shift — listen for the bump.” She marks two more moments, opens Share, types the student’s email, and picks “commenter”. On the student’s phone the recording opens at 4:12, the loop trainer starts at 70% and steps up to full speed, and a comment comes back: “Is it the wrist or the elbow?”

They loop the marked range at 70%, step up as it gets clean, keep a private practice log and ask on the moment they mean. The recording and your notes stay in their library.

Questions people ask
How do I get paid?
Two ways. Charged through ReplayTake: the student pays by card at checkout, payouts go to your own Stripe account, and ReplayTake keeps 5% on orders from your own link or 15% when it brought you the student, card processing included. Paid directly: your student pays you the way they do today, ReplayTake takes nothing and makes no payout, and you acknowledge that on each such order before reviewing.
What if I am late?
An order charged through ReplayTake that is not delivered by your turnaround plus three days is refunded to the student automatically. Set a turnaround you can keep.
Can my students use it for free?
Yes. Everyone you share with joins free: a student needs only a free account to comment, and a public page needs no account at all. A student building a library of their own recordings is on their own Free or Plus account; your plan never charges for them.
Can I record a recap for a student instead of typing notes?
Yes. Record the two minutes at the end of the lesson — what you covered, what to practice — upload it as a lesson recap and share it with the student. They get it as a Checklist on the recording: each point on the moment you said it, with a tick, and the recording stays yours. No typing.
Do I have to upload every lesson?
No. Upload the ones worth studying, or paste a YouTube link for reference recordings, which take no storage.
Can a student see other students’ lessons?
No. Each share is per recording and per person; a student sees only what you shared with them.
Does it slow the audio down without changing pitch?
Yes. Preserve-pitch is on by default and can be switched off for the tape-style effect.
What happens to my recordings if I stop paying?
They stay readable and exportable. New uploads pause until you are back under the free limit.
